Actor Ryan Kwanten is selling his Northern Beaches home.

Actor Ryan Kwanten is selling a long-term investment in the Northern Beaches after 25 years as owner.

The True Blood star bought the Addison Rd, Manly studio apartment in 1999 when he played lifeguard Vinnie Patterson on the long-running Home & Away. He paid $162,000 for the 300-square-foot apartment two years after making his Summer Bay debut following appearances on A Country Practice and Hey Dad.

The SAG Award nominee will star in the upcoming film Primitive War, opposite Tricia Helfer and Jeremy Piven. The sci-fi horror, based on the novel by Ethan Pettus, is set in 1968 Vietnam and follows a reconnaissance unit called the Vulture Squad that is sent to a remote jungle valley to uncover the fate of a missing Green Beret platoon.

Kwantens apartment is located on the ground floor of the Regents Court complex, just south of Manly Wharf.

The studio is being marketed by Rob Hedges of Sweetnams Real Estate as a studio with excellent rental income potential. It was last listed for rent in 2018 for $420 per week. It has recently been repainted and carpeted.

The sales price is $550,000.

Studios are currently available for between $390 per week on Birkley Rd and $625 per week on Sydney Rd. Manly apartments are typically renting for a record $900 per week, representing an annual rental yield of 3 percent, according to PropTrack.

The apartment is located in this block from the 70s.

The block, built in the mid-1970s and featuring a swimming pool, has sold just one studio this year, two doors down from Kwanten’s, which fetched $550,000.

Kwanten moved to California in 2004 and lives in Venice Beach with his partner, nutritionist and health coach Ashley Sisino.

Kwanten will still have a foothold in the Sydney market, as he has had an investment in Balgowlah since 2017. He paid $1 million for that two-bedroom apartment.
