Whether you’re a recreational or seasoned cyclist, there are several cycling events taking place in Fort Collins and Steamboat Springs this summer.

Here are a few options to get you started:

Tour of the steamboat

  • When: Saturday July 13th
  • Where: Steamboat Springs
  • Spin: This event features 100- and 50-mile gravel routes and 66-, 46- and 26-mile road routes. “We are a non-competitive event and participants are encouraged to ride at their own pace and enjoy the majestic scenery in our part of the world! We will have great aid stations, support and end of ride BBQ and a craft beer garden,” the website states. Head there for more information on registration and other details.

FoCo background

  • When: Sunday July 21st
  • Where: Fort Collins
  • Spin: Half race, half party, this event features 118-, 110-, 60-, 32-, and 12-mile rides that take you over mostly gravel trails with beers to celebrate in New Belgium afterward. For registration and more information, visit the event website.

Tour de Fat

  • When: Saturday August 24th
  • Where: Fort Collins
  • Spin: If you’re in it for the fun of it, this is for you. “Tour de Fat is a costumed bike parade followed by a party at New Belgium Brewing with music, entertainment, contests and games,” according to the website. Head over there for more information.
