Hilton Adds 390 Small Luxury Hotels of the World Properties to Hilton Honors

Last month, the first three Small Luxury Hotels of the World hotels were integrated into the Hilton Honors system. Now, nearly 400 more are available to book directly with Hilton, allowing members to earn or use Hilton Honors points at some fantastic hotels.

For the past few months, loyal Hilton customers have been patiently awaiting this day, after it was announced that Hilton had acquired Hyatt’s collection of independent hotels. Many saw this as a major loss for the World of Hyatt loyalty program.

Now, 390 SLH hotels and resorts have already decided to join Hilton Honors, according to a statement from Hilton, with more expected to be added over time as the partnership continues to roll out. That number is significantly higher than the approximately 100 that have been rumored to join, which is a major win for Hilton Honors and its push to expand its luxury and lifestyle offerings.

For now, Hilton Honors members, especially those with higher elite status, can expect a host of benefits for SLH stays booked through Hilton. These benefits include:

  • Member: Guaranteed member discount, free standard WiFi, free late check-out, bottled water and no resort fees on award stays
  • Silver: 20% Elite Level Bonus, 5th Standard Reward Night Free and All Beginner Member Benefits
  • Gold: 80% elite level bonus, free breakfast (for two guests), upgrades to available room, fifth standard reward night free and all first-time member benefits
  • Diamond: 100% Elite Level Bonus, Free Breakfast (for two guests), Room Available Upgrades, Fifth Standard Reward Night Free, and All Beginner Member Benefits

Some notable resorts now part of the group include the Rusty Parrott Lodge & Spa in Jackson, Wyoming, a stunning 40-room hotel near Yellowstone and fantastic skiing; the Nimb Hotel in Copenhagen’s iconic Tivoli Gardens; and Hermitage Bay in Antigua, a beautiful all-inclusive resort where you can use Hilton Honors points to pay for a holiday with all your food and drink included.

Hilton’s partnership with SLH is just one of many strategic partnerships and acquisitions that are helping to expand Hilton’s reach. This year, the company also partnered with outdoor lodging brand AutoCamp to add Airstream trailers and luxury glamping to Hilton Honors. It also acquired Graduate Hotels, a collection of college-themed hotels centered around major universities, for $210 million. And last but not least, it took a majority stake in NoMad Hotels.
