STARK IS OPEN HOUSE – Stark State College has announced two summer open houses for prospective students. The events will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on July 18 at the main campus at 6200 Frank Ave. NW in Jackson Township; or on July 24 at Stark State College Akron, 360 Perkins St. Guests will learn about the admissions process, chat with faculty and staff about the college’s more than 200 associate degrees and certificates, learn about student services and resources, take a tour and more. Financial Aid staff will also be on hand to help students and parents review financial aid, submit FAFSA applications and discuss scholarships. ALLIANCE SEWERAGE – City of Alliance Water & Sewer Advisory Board will meet at 8 a.m. July 15 in the City Administration Building, 504 E. Main St., in the second-floor conference room. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss third-quarter business.

CIVIL SERVICE OF THE ALLIANCE – The City of Alliance Civil Service Commission meets Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. in the second-floor conference room of the City Administration Building, 504 E. Main St. The purpose of the meeting is to certify the Alliance Police Department and Fire Department testing lists.
